Parent Voter Registration Drive @ PS 20

PARENT VOTER MOBILIZATION @ PS 20

September 17, 2018

Roosevelt @ NYU is partnering with New York City Public Schools and the New York City Campaign Finance Board this semester to register parents to vote. We held a mock election for students and provided voting resources in several languages.

This was the first of many exciting Parent Voter Mobilization initiatives Roosevelt @ NYU is working on with the NYCCFB this semester. Stay tuned for more info!

If health care is a public good, what does that mean for birth control?

At this panel we discussed this question with representatives from Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice! The Roosevelt Institute at NYU, Bedsider, Voices for Planned Parenthood NYU, NYU DSA, and the NYU Feminist Society all joined together to talk about birth control as a community issue--not just a women's one!

LOCAL ELECTION VOTER TABLING

On the weekend before the 2017 local election, Roosevelters held a voter tabling session in Washington Square Park. We passed out information about what was on the ballot and registered voters!
